What do you do when you’ve gotten bad news? When things get hard? When the unexpected happens? When you didn’t know things could get any harder?

You go to God.

You don’t run from Him. You come to Him.

You come to Him with what you feel.

You don’t shut Him out.

You bring your thoughts and feelings to your community.

You let them embrace you.

You let them comfort you.

You let them pray for you and be there for you.

You remember that His plans are good.

That the mission hasn’t changed.

Yeah, that the mission hasn’t changed.

That in being called according to His purpose,

God works all things for the good of those who…

love Him. Romans 8:28

He will lead us through the valley.

He is not the “Abandoner” (Psalm 46).

His character doesn’t change due to any of my circumstances.

And so, I wont let anxiety eat me up.

I’ll allow Truth to drown these anxieties and fears.

I wont forget the Truth when I need it most.

I’ll let His arms cover me and embrace me.

I’ll let Him catch my tears.

I’ll praise Him for His goodness.

I’ll look into His eyes—those beautiful eyes of love.

I’ll rest assured, once again…

That I have not been abandoned.

My Redeemer lives.

Is He not redeeming so many areas in my life to begin with? Is He not redeeming me through this hardshipIs He not faithful? Is He not worthy of being trusted? What does He need to prove to me?

I know that my Redeemer lives… I myself will see Him with my own eyes. (Job 19:25-27)

  1. Janice beautiful words reminding us who Jesus is and because our circumstances change doesn’t mean God has abandoned us or changed his love for us. God is always loving and caring for us sometimes too deep for us to understand but He will never fail us or leave us. He is our perfect Father. Thank you for the encouragement keep pushing forward in truth of who Jesus is! Take thoughts captive and praise Him in the process. Praying for you and G squad!
