My brothers and sisters and friends, HELLO AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL! I hope you are all well. I am so happy to be able to write to you again. The past two months have been strange and abnormal. Much has happened in the midst of this pandemic and I have been praying and waiting for the best time to write to you once again and as we can see, today was the day haha!
I wanted to share what I have in my heart and confirm important news that I shared months ago, although much has changed. I will still be going to the World Race, an 11-month mission trip in October 2020. I will be going to 11 countries where I will stay in each country for a month. Together with my fellow missionaries, we will be doing many things with the purpose of exalting Jesus Christ in our designated countries. We’re going on missions! I’ve sometimes said this and I don’t believe it … but yes, we’re going on missions and I’m so excited!
But friends, a lot has changed with this pandemic. Right now I don’t know if due to the pandemic we will be changing some of our designated countries with the restrictions established in crossing certain borders. For this reason, I cannot confirm everything we will be doing in each country. What I do know is that the plans of God are beyond perfect that I don’t have to fear nor worry. God’s plan will be fulfilled!
I will begin sharing more with you about the mission trip and I will be having different projects to raise funds for the trip. I will be making videos and sharing with my friends on Facebook and on other social networks about the trip.
This is the part where I share something deep that I have in my heart. First, I am very clear that the support I need is not only with the financial. Although it is a very important part because without reaching the goal of raising $ 17,700 I will not be able to go for the entire trip. But please wait, let me tell you what I have in my heart:
I know that with the pandemic it may be difficult to donate at this time and I want to tell you that I love you all very much! I have no words to express how much I appreciate all of you who love me so much and have been checking up on me. I want you to believe me when I tell you this: please do not worry if you cannot donate right now because although I will be asking for donations, I know that the help I need is not only financial. I say this all with great sincerity. Why? Well…
Who is God? There are many things that can be said, right? Something I can tell you is that God is the Creator of the universe and that everything belongs to Him. There are several verses in the Bible that talk about this and I wanted to affirm to you that God is happy to see that we trust Him and in whom He is. I am choosing to trust 100 percent that God will provide all my needs because I can tell you this my friends, He has never failed me! He has been faithful every second of every day and night and season and decade and century and yes, I could go on and on about His goodness. Christ is so good and I just pray that we all may hope and trust in Him… that you may trust Him in whatever situation you are in. Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord (Psalm 27:14).
I trust and hope on God for everything including the funds for the trip.
Please offer me your prayers. Your prayers are gifts that I need now and will need on the journey. Please pray for me in the name of Jesus Christ. The Lord will also act through your prayers to provide me with the strength and courage and peace and finances and resources that I need. Pray for wisdom and peace and joy and all the good that comes from our Lord Jesus Christ for me and my family.
I share my heart with you because I can understand that these are very difficult times. With my job at a community agency as a community navigator, I have heard and seen many things that have changed my life. It has been my mission through my work to help many in my community who need support and resources. The Lord has given me this privilege to listen and comfort and advise many during this pandemic and I also now have a better perspective on life. I only think about when Christ saved me in the summer of 2015. Jesus exchanged my hatred and rancor for an immense love where I then knew that my calling in life was to now love God and love my neighbor with all my heart.
Before saying toodaloo, I wanted to say that, if God has put it in your heart to pray for me and/or help me financially, do it! Because this mission trip will be to expand the kingdom of God and I know it will be a great blessing for you to be part of it. To all of my beloved family and incredible friends who have been praying for me and have donated, from the depths of my heart, THANK YOU! It is a pleasure to have you walk with me on this journey because it wouldn’t be as exciting without you.
