Yes, my time on the World Race is almost over, but this... isn’t over. This journey; this adventure with Jesus isn’t over! It keeps going, and it keeps getting better...As I write this, I want you to know that I recovered from my hangover of emotions from 2 days ago. 2 days ago we said goodbye to our mentor and leaders at our debrief location; we traveled by bus back to Cuidad Refugio, Medellin, Colombia, to soon after say goodbye to half of our squad for nearly a month. If you’d ask me how our month 8 debrief went, I’d tell you: it was restful and filled with revelation. To receive The Word from our leaders and squadmates, to meditate, worship together, pray for one another and remember what we’ve learned about God and ourselves in these past 8 months is WILD. And I don’t say, “wild” often!

During this time of the Race, we’re presented with a Re-Entry packet and a Kingdom Life Plan packet to help us process this journey well and to continue in the Kingdom mindset where ever we go.

I love the intro to our Re-entry packet:

World Race is a journey full of highs and lows, travel days and teammates, squatty potties and street food, and many, many other things! It is important to slow down and take time to process this incredible (and sometimes difficult) journey. This year specifically has been unique to you. From spending three months stateside to Covid travel restrictions - your ‘yes’ has been one that has required grit and perseverance.

I’m just...incredibly proud of my squad (G-SQUAD)! We were given the option to push our trip to January 2021 or to postpone it until further into 2021, but 15 of us said “no” to those options and “yes” to God’s calling to the October 2020 route. We went straight into this journey during the most uncertain time as the guinea pig squad — on how to proceed and what to expect with Covid restrictions and regulations; with no clue on how our route would look like. FAITH. THAT IS WHAT FAITH IS. My squad and I have grown so much, and I am beyond grateful for how this journey has looked like, with the many highs and lows.

This journey has and still requires grit, perseverance, endurance, trust, joy, peace, strength... and more. Please continue to pray for my squad, for those in my squad who still need to be fully funded, for our protection, health, and for our ministry partners!!!

Until next time,
