On Friday, August 13th, we found out that the school would be closing until further notice due to new Covid-cases in the community. Our time with the students and teachers was plentiful and we said our goodbyes that day. This is MJ and I; he’d teach me about DC comic characters in exchange for Spanish lessons during lunch/recess. I’ll miss him.We have 3 more weeks of ministry left and we will be asking the Lord what He has in store for us. We don’t know when we’d be leaving Heidelberg to head to a different location here in S.A., but we rest assured that God will work everything for our good (Romans 8:28).
KEYBOARD FUNDRAISER
God laid it on my heart before we found out about the school closing down, to partner with His plan to provide my sister and friend with her own keyboard. Her name is Alice, she’s 23, and she is the worship leader of her church and the Bible college she studied at. Her worship and leadership is so encouraging; I am so thankful to know her!
I believe that God is wanting to show us that as He entrusts us with a ministry, He equally cares for our personal time. He delights in us, our gifts, our dreams and desires. He cares for how we pour into others, and He cares for how we get filled up. One of the pivotal ways that Alice gets filled up in her time with God is worshipping Him with her voice and playing the piano.
And so,
He loves “impossible” situations— He is Jehovah Jireh. He is Provider.
This was us 2 weeks ago leading worship together at the school. 🙂We then sat for hours talking about God’s goodness, and she shared how she had been praying about having her own keyboard. God showed her that He cares and delights in her dreaming! That as His child, her dreams and desires are aligned with His heart.
If it’s in your heart to pray and/or give towards her keyboard, please do. 🙂 The goal amount is $2,000! If you would like to support her, you can donate here:
