And so, with one experience after another either in the Word or with people on His love for me, God has also simultaneously been teaching me more on love through: Redeeming Love.

I read it for the first time, finishing it this Sunday morning. It took me a week to finish it, and I am still sad that I finished!!! I am ready to read it again!

I identified a lot with the main character in ways I didn’t think I would. And so, I was refreshed with the truth that everyone is searching for love, but not all of us experience and find real Love.

We grow up forming our own idea(s) of love and how it should look like in our lives, and we believe that love is something to be earned. And then I’m like, how can I give something I’m having a hard time believing I possess? I also battle with the belief that: I have to do an ongoing list of things to earn Love.

The best days I’ve lived are the days I’ve walked in the truth that: I am chosen, known, and loved, and that this love wont run dry even if I fail. This love runs after me, and even waits for me. This Love.

Within our worship time on Saturday here at Heidelberg, as a whole squad, we did a worship activity in which we drew 2 names from a bowl without looking at the names. We would pray and ask God what He wanted to speak to them, write it on a piece of paper, and afterward, we would look at the name, and give them the paper.

“If you end up getting your name, it’s because you were meant to,” the worship leader said. I gulped, thought of that for a few seconds, and moved on quickly to praying and waiting for God to impart words to the 2 squadmates I had.

Long story short, I had my squad mate’s name and mine. This is what God told me

1 Corinthians 13:8 Love never ends

Ephesians 5:2 Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us

Ephesians 3:19 the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge

The person that had me was given a picture of me running through the field towards Jesus. “It has always been yours,” was also written, and she wrote Psalm 100, which titled, His Steadfast Love Endures Forever

Psalm 100:5 for the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.

He has been redeeming something I didn’t know needed redemption.

Until next time, God speaks: accepting it pt 4.

with much love,
