He knows me

  Hey Jesus… I’ve missed You! I felt bad that I wasn’t present for some of our morning dates… last week was filled with more than I had expected. Remember when we asked You to provide us with more opportunities to love on those around us and to make You known here at the Hiawatha Residence Hall and with our ministry partners?

 did that.

   You actually prepared the sweetest days for me and my squad and You road with me on the bus on our way to do manual labor for our ministry partner…

   You walked with me down the stairs on my way to make some scrambled eggs in the kitchen. You know how much I love eggs! So, thank you that I can eat them here in Wisconsin.

   You let me lean on You when my heart was really heavy before worship the other night. Thank you for the many times that Paiton, Bliz, and I prayed together that day, and for letting us make a new friend!

   Yeah, You aren’t resentful towards me. You do not hide Yourself from me, nor hate me. You never leave me, and I’m growing to know through the good and the bad this truth: that You will never leave me alone. You will hug me, comfort me, give me strength, guide me, and give me the words to speak to those around me. 

   I know You’re teaching me self-discipline when it comes to spending time with You. I am growing to hate more and more NOT being with You and in sync with You.

   You’re teaching me that doing anything without You isn’t fulfilling… and that doing things by my strength always makes me grow weary. You’re also teaching me how Your grace surpasses and covers all of my faults. You died for my faults… and so, You are not ashamed of me. You chose me and love me because You are love and You are good. Thank you that I can meditate and rejoice in these simple truths. I really want others to too! 

 

   Thanks for never giving up on any of us. You are my Best Friend and I am so excited to continue adventures in life walking with You. 

   I pray that as I go to sleep, I rest in Your peace, and as I wake up, I am receptive to Your voice, ready to learn more about You. Te amo Jesus. Talk to you soon,
