We’ve been in ATL-Ask the Lord since last week. ATL time on the Race gives you the freedom to go where ever you want to bring Kingdom. We felt peace in staying at the school for longer to be with the students. Yet, with covid uncertainties and “set-backs”, the school closed and we ended up quarantining, unable to leave until further notice.
With the many logistical conversations that my team leader has had and that we’ve had as a team, we came to decision to leave… TOMORROW! I’m oh so proud of my team and especially my team leader and how she’s navigated things: we’re so proud of you Steph. <3
This just reminds me of our ATL time in Colombia, and how even though there weren’t covid barriers, it reminded me of the many conversations we had; discussing scenarios, asking thoughtful, problem-solving questions, growing in communication and critical thinking. It’s been pretty great.
Towards the end of June, I blogged about the first half of our ATL experience in Cartagena called We’re leaving Cartagena. I didn’t finish sharing the last few days of our time there. It was truly plentiful. You can check out both of my team mates blogs on how our overall time was. Here are some pictures!

2 months later, here I am, typing this while some of us put clothes to wash and others are packing up.We’ll be cleaning the house soon, and we’ll be having a goodbye parade here in town. We’ll be going saying goodbye to our local friends, bringing our goodbye poster a poster and maracas and worship music through our speaker. We’re so excited.
These are moments to treasure— leaving is never the easiest, but making connections like these are worth it. We’re thankful for Heidelberg, for the people here, and for how God worked in and through our lives and theirs.
Until next time at Cape Town,
and with much love,
J
Woohoo! Yes! Looking forward to Cape Town!
