It’s 6:30pm here in Colombia. We got up around 4:00am today to leave the foundation (Cuidad Refugio) and we got on our bus around 6:30am for our 15hr trip.
It’s been around 11-12hrs now on this bus ride, so we have a few more hours left to get to our destination… Cartagena!

As some of you know, we’re having an ATL week in Cartagena, meaning we’re asking the Lord / depending on Holy Spirit to guide us on how to go about this trip. We don’t know where we’ll be sleeping tonight. This is the first time I don’t know where I‘ll be sleeping and so, I feel like there’s nothing to grab hold of after we get off this bus.

That’s when I hear Jesus say, “Here I am. Everything to grab hold of.”

And so, I think that’s where God wants us. He wants us to depend on Him even when there isn’t a concrete thing to grab hold of; to cling to. He’s saying, “I -am what you are to grab hold of. I am the one to cling on.” Faith. Trust. Hope. All these great things are to be applied in our everyday lives and especially in the uncertainty.

I want to ask you guys to pray for my team and I. I’m praying that we hear Holy Spirit so clearly as to where to go, who to talk to, what to do, and what not to do. Sometimes we want to act, make plans, make things happen, when we’re actually being asked to wait, to rest in Him, and to watch Him work.

I’ve seen God do some really amazing things in my life, in the lives of my friends and family back home, in my squad and in our ministries. He works better than we ever could. So, pray for us, that our faith may grow stronger through this trip, that we can rejoice and just… savor our time here… that we may learn new things, that we may meet new people and have meaning conversations about life and God, keeping their souls in mind as we speak to them, but at the same time, taking off all pressure to “save” people. Holy Spirit is the one who convinces. Pray that we just hear so clearly from Holy Spirit y’all. Pray that we (my team) trust each other and Holy Spirit in us as we converse on any plans.

If we ain’t Spirit-led, I don’t want it. Ya feel?

Anyway, we‘ve made it where there’s water, so that means we’re pretty close… closer than we were before hahaha!

Thanks for reading, until next time,

  1. I can feel the peace in your description of Jesus asking you to take hold of Him.
    Please share what happens next.
I love hearing of your journey with Him.
